BASED IN NYC + ATLANTA — SERVING THE SPECTACULAR DESTINATIONS THAT SURROUND EACH
Everything you’re envisioning – made entirely unforgettable
We first met while working on a wedding together at Atlanta’s iconic Swan House. Emily was leading the design and styling for the event, and Amy was in charge of logistics and coordination. We quickly realized we had complementary skillsets, aligned visions for our event-planning businesses, and a desire to push the bounds of traditional wedding design. Two wildly productive lunches—complete with countless iPhone notes—later, we officially merged to become Browne & Towers.
You get to enjoy the benefit of working with two lead wedding planners throughout the entire process—one who’s deeply immersed in creative conceptualization and design (Emily), and one who can plan her way around even the most complex logistical challenges (Amy)—while both are capable and comfortable taking on any role.
I started my journey working as a city planner but eventually found myself longing for a creative outlet. After designing my own wedding and, later, planning the weddings of a number of close friends, I realized event production was the perfect combination of my love for planning and design.
While it feels like a lifetime has passed since my previous career as a city planner, so much of what I learned in that role laid the foundation for me to conceptualize and execute successful events today. Creating diagrams and reviewing floorplans, understanding infrastructure and accounting for water and power lines, navigating dynamics with multiple stakeholders involved—all of it allows me unique expertise when it comes to building a venue from the ground up or producing a tented wedding.
I always thought I wanted to work in fashion—a desire that eventually led me to build a successful career in fashion merchandising and digital marketing at companies such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdale’s. After years in the industry, though, I couldn’t shake the feeling that working in corporate retail wasn’t exactly the creative or entrepreneurial gig I longed for.
I ended up planning my own wedding and immediately knew it was what I wanted to do. I went on to shadow a number of NYC wedding planners, plan friends’ weddings for free, and freelance on the side as often as I could. I later launched my own event planning company and—thanks to my love for networking and knack for forming industry connections—little by little, solidified my role in the wedding planning community.
As a through-and-through people person, I’m most excited by our very first discovery call with you. I love learning about your wedding vision and immediately racking my mental rolodex for the vendors I know will be a great fit for you. Bonus points if your wedding involves a particularly complicated challenge: I live for problem solving and the satisfaction that comes from creating an effective process.
