Tyler and Travis met for the first time in Latin class and later traveled on a group trip abroad in Italy which was a key moment in their relationship. They knew they wanted to honor that history together and incorporate it into their wedding design. The beautiful European-inspired architecture of Crane Cottage at the Jekyll Island Club Resort was eye-catching and became the perfect backdrop to host their destination wedding weekend.
Their ceremony took place in the manicured gardens which were filled with buttery florals lining the aisle and adorning the lush arch. The bridesmaids processed in fitted pale blue gowns and acted as the bride’s “something blue” while the groom and groomsmen were all decked in classic black tuxes. The couple’s former Latin teacher acted as their officiant which was a special moment to acknowledge their journey together.
The reception tent was a show-stopper and included chic neutral draping with olive-green trim, wood and brass chandeliers mixed with romantic string lights dripping with delicate greenery. We leaned into the Italian style and incorporated a pattern on the reception bar and dance floor that was inspired by a Tuscan tile pattern. The tent design was completed with a combination of dusty blue, pale green, and patterned linens paired with wooden cane back chairs and soft earth-toned florals. The evening ended with a fireworks display along the waterfront that wowed everyone!
