Spring Pastels in the Carolina Mountains

This couple fell in love with the relaxed and natural feel of The Farm at Old Edwards and how it effortlessly fit into the mountain setting but still offered the luxurious accommodations and amenities of a Relais & Châteaux property. As a destination location with a majority of guests traveling in, we were able to ensure everyone comfortably enjoyed an immersive weekend away in the Highlands.

With the spring season in mind, the bride wanted to lean into a color palette that felt cohesive with the time of year. We landed on a palette of soft pastels including blush, pale green, cream, and lilac to ground this garden-inspired seasonal celebration.

The ceremony took place in the orchard house where lush florals backed the aisle and framed the couple to evoke a more intimate feel as they shared their vows. Guests then transitioned to the barn for cocktail hour where they lounged by the cozy fireplace and meandered through the nearby gardens with champagne.

The reception design included a combination of pale green linens and natural wooden tables that complimented the slate stone venue setting. The dining tables were decorated with a variety of floral arrangement and candle styles to add visual interest to the tablescape designs. The iron chandeliers were adorned with soft greenery around the dance floor where guests danced the night away as the band played and the candlelight twinkled.
